Mountain Climbing in Southeast Kyrgyzstan
HI All,
I'm writing up a series of trip reports/photo essays about my crazy climbing expedition in Kyrgyzstan. This was a special trip, where the guides chose a place no one ever goes so we could try to do one or more first ascents of nameless peaks; a valley where they themselves had never been. We drove many miles off road to find a base camp in the chosen valley. It was a true adventure - all of it was improvised since no one knew exactly what we'd find when we got there. The mountains and valleys were beautiful, and the hiking was challenging. Here's the first part of the trip report.

Thanks Clifton! It was a great adventure. And everything is a pretty good deal there - the cost of living is the lowest I've run into in a while. But yes, you can see great mountain views just about anywhere there - no need to go way off-road!
