It is very much worth the price. I absolutely loved it. It was one of the most enjoyable things I've done in Japan.

Go, go, go. As mrwunrfl said, it was a highlight. Incredibly lovely and mysterious, w/haunting music. I can still hear the music/chants when I am thinking about it now.
Yes, I called the concierge at the hotel I was going to stay at and she arranged for the tickets. I think I called about 6 or 8 before we went and we got great seats.

Gosh, now I can't get the music out of my mind! I've been hearing it all day; it is very distinctive. I even looked at the program that mrwunrfl bought for my daughter and I at that performance and looked at it today (it is sitting on my coffee table in the living room).
I can't imagine having a chance to go to this and passing it up.
