Luxury travel vietnam tour

A friend's daughter would like to go on this tour,

http://www.luxurytravelvietnam.com/E...tba_onboat.htm

She is currently teaching in Thailand and has asked her dad for advice, who asked me. I know nothing about Vietnam but I'm positive you all do. She just wants to make sure this company is reputable, reliable, etc. Thanks.

Don't know anything about that company. For purposes of comparison you could look at www.handspan.com, which I used for Halong Bay and can recommend, or www.sinhcafevn.com which has been around for long enough there are lots of imitators.

I hope she is not getting too caught up in the word "luxury" which is used often on that site. It looks like a fairly standard tour to me.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm really not sure why she picked this- she told her dad that her guide book said a guided tour and a do it yourself would be about the same cost wise, and I think she just found this on the internet.

I'll pass on the info about the other companies.

If she really wants a "luxury" tour, the most important thing is to know which boat she will be on. Some are rather grim, some are really lovely. I feel suspicious of this tour as it doesn't specify the boat.

Also, she should know that there are multiple companies of the same name in VN. So one person recommends a particular company, and she'll find several different companies calling themselves Handspan or Sinh Cafe.
