@CaliNurse - I had to have a discussion with the guide in Sicily about putting us in the shade and not the sun, lol. He seemed puzzled. Your Red Fort guide sounds really good, but I suspect he is in the minority. Too many of them want to recite names and dates, even good ones. We had a good - as in knowledgeable - guide on the architectural river boat cruise I took in Chicago, but virtually all the info was eminently forgettable.
@jacketwatch - Yes, I have been to China. Three times. But since the last time was in 2004 my info on visas is well past its sell-by date. You want Peter NH.
