Laptops in Singapore/KL

We are currently on our way to Singapore via KL. Any ideas as to which is the best place to buy a laptop? Any recommendations as to shops would be appreciated.

For basic laptops I think the prices will be pretty much the same with minor variation. The place that I like to look around for electronics in Singapore is Sim Lim Plaza. The Apple Macbook Air is nice

I think Hanuman meant Sim Lim Square.

Another place would be Funan Center which is near Raffles City and the City Hall MRT station.

Check here for price guides:

There's an active forum there if you need more specific IT related help.

I bought one quite a few years back at Funan Center and was very impressed by the knowledge of the staff, very helpful. Price was also a bargain ! Can't remember which shops it was but it was a Compaq ( now HP I think ) and they had a very large selection, hence the use of knowledgeable staff.
These days though I guess best to research which model youi want in advance.
That hardwarezone link from KM looks useful.

Bob, You are probably right. Given the place we are staying now in KL i doubt that a laptop will fit in the room!
