Places to see in KL and Singapore
I want to thank all those who responded to my earlier message.
I have 3 nights and 4 days in KL.
Would like to know how to plan sight seeing trip in KL,and hotels (preferably serving indian food). Is there enough time to take a short visit to SINGAPORE BY TRAIN during this time?
Thanks in advance for your time and interest to help others.

I don't think you would have enough time to visit Singapore by train. It's tough to fit both Singapore and KL into the 3n/4d. An alternative to Singapore would be on one of the many luxury coaches. It takes about 5 hours.

Fly...that's what I did. It takes 45 minutes. I just hopped a plane and flew from Singapore to KL to do some shopping and then back to Singapore. However, I think I was in KL for 3 days and Singapore for 4 days on that trip. Singapore is far more interesting than KL, so I spend my time in Singapore. But, I'm glad I experienced KL. Happy Travels!

I agree with Guenmai, I liked Singapore much more than KL. That's not to say KL is bad, just a preference. If it were me, I'd fly--flights are cheap enough and much faster!
While in KL, you might want to take a trip out to the Batu Caves. It is about 45 minutes outside of the city and is kind of neat.

I agree with the rest. Too little time for 2 places.
Hotels in Kl don't serve Indian food, but if you wish, I suggest that you stay at Tune Hotel (budget) or Le Meridien (high end). There are some very good and cheap Indian eateries around Tune Hotel eg Lotus Restaurant. Le Meridien is near Brickfields, KL's Little India that's peppered with many good eateries.

My thanks to KMloke for the suggestion of coach. Is it possible to go to Singapore in 5 hours (reach there before 12 noon), spend 1/2 day city tour, and catch the return coach at about 8pm. And how comfortable is the coach trip? Any suggestions in this matter will be appreciated.
Thanks, kj
