I will be flying Korean next week after doing a lot of research about their flying record. It seems that their alliance with Delta and Air France has shaped up their safety procedures, which many people used to criticize. I'm sure someone will post here how unsafe they are, but when was the last time they had a serious accident? I hear that the service is excellent and am looking forward to my trip.

I'll try to post a report as soon as possible after my return on June 13.

It is not one of the best airlines in Asia, but I never heard strong safety concern about the Korean Airlines during all those years when I lived in Japan. Once a bureaucratic blunder by the airlines lead to US government ban on the use of the airlines by its civilian and military personnel, but I recall it was lifted quickly.

Just got back yesterday afternoon and had no problem at all with KAL. All of the flights left on time and arrived as scheduled or early. We were in business class and the service was excellent. The flight attendants were extremely attentive and always trying to please. The food was quite good as well. The only thing missing was that the in flight entertainment did not have video games if that matters to you.

Are the seats in business class fully reclining now on Korean Air?

Boose - the seats on my flights (777s and 747s) did not fully recline. It was more like sitting in a lazy boy recliner.
