Teaghan and I are taking a 2 week break during this non-peak time to visit my mother-in-law in New York, and then take her to visit my parents and grandparents in Florida. Spending tonight in the Osaka Hilton, flying out of KIX tomorrow on a sold out flight (fingers crossed for an op up or bump or both!).

That's why you won't see any posts from me for a while

oooo, NYC and Florida. Two of my very favorite places, even if I wasn't coming to them all the way from Japan and wasn't coming to visit grandparents.

I hope both of you stay healthy and have a great time. And I am selfishly glad that you will be coming back in time to send me off on my April trip w/my daughter to your country.

Not sure where you are going in NY, but we are finally getting some COLD winter weather here in NYC after a very warm Jan/Feb. I'm sure you'll warm up down in FL. Have a great trip.

Hope you enjoy your travels. I love NYC, but Florida in March is definitely more enjoyable! Thanks for all your help with Japan.

We got to New York a couple of days ago and have been hit hard by jet lag. Last night I was up until 5 am, couldn't sleep, and now I want to sleep but I'm up by force and not so happy about it. Tomorrow we have planned a day in NYC...the Met and the American Girl store and meeting up with a friend who I met through this very board...very much looking forward to that.

No bump or op up on the KIX - DTW flight...full to the brim, but not oversold in the end. Oh well.

I'm glad that you and your daughter made it safe to NY. Have a enjoyable vacation.
