Can anyone tell me how far the Kata Thani Resort is from the other restaurants etc at Kata?

Appreciate your help!

There are a couple restaurants down the block, but the majority of restaurants are a short cab ride away. You might be able to walk if you felt like a hike and it was during the day, but there is a pretty big hill bw the resort and the town and the road is narrow. The cabs and tuk tuk's are only a few dollars, so it isn't a large expense.

I would agree about the cab. You have two options that are among the BEST on the island, within very short distance. Mom Tri's Boathouse Grill and Mom Tri's Kitchen are both really terrific places. The Grill is on Kata Beach (Kata Thani is on Kata Noi) and the Kitchen is in between the two beaches on a rocky outcropping that you will see from Kata Thani.

Enjoy!!!

HI LeahE
We are also staying at KT in April for 2+ weeks. Have heard there is an excellent restuarant at southern end of KT called "The Bungalow".
Enjoy your holiday.

Yes, I've been in June. The four days there were partly sunny and partly rainy. But we found things to do no matter what the weather. The red flags were up, so few people were in the Andaman as the currents were pretty strong. It was still a great trip!

We did a day trip to Phi Phi and it happened to be a most glorious day, weatherwise. Perfect for a long boat trip! We were lucky we picked just the right day to go though.
