I'm a "her". I'm constantly frustrated not knowing who's who.
We decided just tonight that Italy did not hold the allure that Asia does. I don't know if we can get the trip together quickly enough, but if not, we'll plan for later October or November.
It's funny thing. We really have the Italy thing all worked out but we just aren't excited. I don't know anyone else who wouldn't be, but Asia holds such a different allure.
We hope to be able to add Hong Kong and Laos, now we've made the decision.

Good for you, welch! I'm headed to Italy in November, and looking forward to it (I've been a number of times) but find myself more 'into' the return trip to BKK for the holidays! BKK, and Asia in general, is much more exotic!

If you can include Hong Kong, November is fantastic weather here. It’s what we wait for all year. Sunny, low to mid 70’s, low humidity and no rain. The second half of October is similar, although can be a little warmer and a tad more humid. One downside is that the air pollution is worse in the winter, but the great weather can make up for it. Perfect for walks and hikes.
Laos (I assume that would be Luang Prabang) is also good in November. Very little rain.
