Japan or Thailand?

I am having and hard time looking for scenic and beautiful places to go in Asia. We have decided to go to China. We are going to Yangshuo, Guilin, Lijiang and Longsheng. Nikko in Japan looks nice but Thailand has beautiful beaches, What you reccomend to go based on your travels. I would like to see the rivers, valleys, pagaodas, mountains and Japanese floral garden. in Thailand, it looks gorgeous. I am confused! Thanks!!

i think you would not find thailand as scenic as some places in china and certainly japan... it has many other attractions however, like culture, wats, extremely friendly people, supurb travel infastructure...and it is way cheaper than japan---way cheaper

i find the krabi and khoa lak areas amongst the most scenic for sea side.. phuket less so...

I feel your pain. Two totally different destinations and both truly worthy of a visit. I don't know that anyone could help you with this either. Both comments above are great, but I think it's going to have to come down to your gut, or your heart.

Your other posts say you have two weeks. May I suggest you choose one country rather than use one day out of 14 traveling between the two? And if your two weeks includes getting to Asia from the US, you lose an entire day getting here, so you are starting your on day 2, and most flights arrive afternoon/evening so really you will lose two days just getting here.

"I would like to see the rivers, valleys, pagaodas, mountains and Japanese floral garden." Based on this wishlist Japan wins hands down IMO!

Suggest everyone look at the OPs profile. Does this all the time.

I think he has asked questions of almost every country in the world by now.
