Bangkok domestic terminal taxi to hotel?
I have done this before more than oncebut have forgotten how. Any tips on getting a taxi / limo from the domestic BKK terminal to the downtown hotels? Party of four adults.

You can get one of the "official" hotel limos. Big. Clean. No BS but also more expensive. If you want a regular taxi, don't get in the queue. Catch one dropping passengers off and they will gladly take you. Just tell them "meter" and then pay the tolls on top.

Rather than trying to evade the system set up for taxis by getting one that has just dropped someone off in the departures area (Gee! you'll save 50 baht!), go to the taxi queue. For the four of you plus your luggage, you'll need two taxis or a van. Others have said that at the taxi queue they can call for a larger car for you if needed, but I have no personal experience with that.
You could also email one of the limo services like AAC and have them send a van for you. Email them your request with flight number, arrival time, etc and ask for a van

AOT is the official airport "limo" servicer and can provide you what you need...
unlike the old airport, the newer airport has domestic and international flights all in the same building, albeit many domestic flights are at the far left end of the building as you face the runways...
just follow the overhead signs for taxis..

You will save a whole $ 1.66 by picking up a taxi at the drop off area upstairs.!!
Go down to 1st floor and get the taxi. Pay the extra 50 baht when you arrive at your destination.
Four adults with luggage will need two taxis. I have never seen any bigger taxis that could take 4 adults with suitcases in all of my trips into BKK.
Make certain that you have a suply of 100 baht and 20 baht notes as well. Don't hit the driver with a 1,000 baht note, as you may not get any change.

I agree, gearsau, even the larger taxis aren't big enough for four adults and all their luggage. I seem to remember your wife and daughters travel "heavy" mjs. So two taxis or a Mercedes van from AAC would be my recommendation.

Could not book AAC on this Sheraton Krabi computer for some reason or another. AOT last week quoted me 2700. Sheraton Grande will give me a Toyota van for 4000 RT so we will just go with them. We travel with 2 22 inch and 2 24 inch suitcases plus 4 medium size carryons and a duffel bag full of dirty clothes. Do not use the duffel bag at all inbound but use the empty space in the suitcases for stuff we (they) buy during the trip. Domestic and International terminals are separate at BKK.

Which airport are you thinking of in Bangkok?
At Suvarnabhumi Airport, its all one huge building.
Sure,separate check in areas, but, all in one building.
