Melnq8, Good point about overpaying. Another of my favorite Singapore vegetarian restaurants is Woodlands in Little India. There are two branches and one is more upscale and serves a buffet dinner. I haven't been there for a few years, but the buffet was $10 the last time I went. So at Annlakshmi I gave them $20. They were happy with that.

I've been to the Woodlands near the Tanglin Mall (on Orchard or maybe Napier?) - not fancy, but very good dosas!

Just returned from a weekend trip to Singapore. Took the MRT to Little India and made the mistake of eating dinner at Delhi Restaurant at 60 Race Course Road - by far the worst Indian food I have ever had.

Too bad, when there is so much good food in Singapore. Thanks for the warning.
