OMG, That's horrible!
"Let’s see if BDKR attempts to make light of it as he did in his last, now deleted, extremely crass post which was presumably some bizarre and twisted attempt at humour."
Not sure what are you talking about, but BDKR is she, not he.

Thanks, thursdaysd, for keeping us informed.
Some things are simply beyond belief, beyond words. What a horrid reminder of just how fortunate I am to have been born in the U.S. at all, let alone during a time when women and other minority groups have been afforded more and more legal rights and greater and greater societal freedoms. Even as I reap the benefits, I wonder if the expanding rights of women in the west might contribute to the increasing fear experienced by men in mysogynistic cultures, and so contribute to increasing violence against women in the ways that fears so often contribute to anger and aggression. I'm not sure there's any solution to that, and I certainly wouldn't urge any curbs to the efforts to promote full equal human rights to all (women or men, without regard to race or ethnicity or any other diversity-related dividing line), but ooh, how I wish I felt less helpless in the face of events like these!

Instant justice in India!
Indian police shoot dead four men suspected of Hyderabad rape. Good guys, don't let the currupt, misogynist judges to let the rapists go free. A dead rapist is a good rapist. That'll teach them!

To put that in perspective see what's going on in liberal Sweden. I'm not sure if I would travel again to Sweden as a woman.
