Hua hin hotels

Any recommendations for mid-range places (under $150/night? I like the look of Veranda Lodge, so any other similar places in comparable locations?
I'm considering Hua Hin as my backup plan for 4 nights in mid-January should Bangkok really be too difficult to manage.

Picked this up in New Zealand where wi-fi is not readily available.
The return to Bangkok leaving Hua-hin at 10.am took 3hours to the Old Bangkok Inn.
I would recommend the Baan Laksasubha in Hua-hin- Paule you may be able to get a deal on it.
Happy New Year to you all

Baan laksasubha has a great location
Veranda Lodge is further along the road so you need to use transport to from however it has a good on the beach location and very 'beach' style, loungers shades right on the beach, is a more affordable option if Baan Laksasubha is a bit more than you want to pay

Thanks. I've decided to pass on Hua Hin as a backup plan. The available rooms in the "nicer" places were too high and had a more restrictive cancellation policy than I'm willing to accept. Thanks for the information - good for the next trip!
