Well we finally leave in the morning for our month long Japan trip!

Thank you all for all the advice and encouragement. I will try to check in along the way as most of our rooms will have free internet access and I will also take notes on my trusty laptop. I will give a full report(hopefully penalty free) when we return. Sayonara!

We have arrived!

Cherry blossoms are everywhere in Tokyo Some are a few days past prime but what the heck. We had our hanami yesterday in Shinjuku chuo park for a couple of hours. We are up early today as still on Hawaii time.

Off to see more blossoms at Shinjuku gyoen park and the Imperial palace if I can keep Linda away from shopping long enough

ps The concierge lounge at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo has changed their "free" wine to CA brands instead of the French that we loved.....oh well, we suffered through it
