i recently made up my mind to start planning my vacation to Northern parts of Asia.
Nepal,India and Pakistan in specific. i wanted to know how it goes in the northern parts of these countries how can we rent a hotel because online there doesnt seem to be much written about the hotels or they have not been updated recently.

Hi,
I can help you with India.
Himachal Pradesh, there are many categories of hotels, you can choose from. You need to specify your budget and dates of visit (I mean time of the year). Himachal Pradesh is a holiday destination during summer time even for Indians, hence it is little expensive in summers.
Please specify within Himachal Pradesh where you want to visit and what is your budget and then I can suggest you.
Cheers,
Lucy.

Ok The Judges Court in Pragpur. Wonderful place next to the village of Pragpur. As far as you can get from a "chain " hotel. You may well be the only Westerner there.
Clarkes in Shimla. Wonderful old "raj" era hotel. The first hotel owned by Mr Oberoi, although no longer part of the Oberoi Chain.
McLeod Ganj. Stayed at Chonor House. It was ok but i would probablly try a homestay next time.
Check prices. All three may be more than 100/night now, though they werent in June 2919
