Hotel website...

Hi Guys,

I need your help with something...

I'm thinking of opening a new website, with Bangkok/Thailand hotel bookings, flight information, some extra tips etc.

I know there are millions of websites like this one, so here comes your part -

What would you look in such website?
What would keep you in it?

Feel free to share your needs...

Thanks,
Ben

The ability for people who have stayed at the hotel or used your booking service to write a review.

I realy like this idea, and want to build something that will be better than the rest...even if not cheaper...

Up to date photos. Candid photos taken by guests.

Information on hotel/resort written by site owner rather than lifted from hotel publicity.

Ultimately, the price is key. If other providers can undercut you and provide reliable service (e.g. R24 and its affiliates and asiarooms) then they will get the bookings unless you can offer bonuses such as complimentary upgrades, free dinner/massage/transfers etc to balance the difference in cost.

and how about more relaxed cancellation policy? People would definitely go for non-restrictive cancellation policy given similar pricing.

Clean, organized, uncluttered interface. Quick request response. Ways to search by features.

Oh ya, a genius but tougher to create is something like Amazon does with "customers who purchased x als0 purcahsed y". Based on history of search and bookings the website could have a personal recommendations page this could include resaurants etc... Try and find patterns.

I really find this stuff fascinating and like to reward easy to use smart websites that feel reliable.
