We're doing a 2 day stopoff on our way back from Australia. I'm really looking forward to it! It's not costing us all that much more, and I'm excited about seeing something totally different. With only 2 days, I think we'll have to be fairly organized though. I know zip about Hong Kong, so I'm planning to do some research before we go.

Hi
My wife and I went to Hong Kong for a few days last year and we were not crazy about it. But sure, it is nice to see a new city...but Bangkok is better
But maybe our view of HK were influenced by the fact that we were there in March...just when SARS hit the city. I have posted a trip report with pictures from our trip to HK on my personal homepage www.gardkarlsen.com. You will also find trip reports from Thailand there by the way. Have a great trip

Hi Susan,
HK is an awesome city and you will indeed need to be pretty organized to see and do as much as possible in two days.
It's not a particularly "Chinese" city at all, but it does have its strong points.
The HK destination info on this site will give you a pretty good idea of what the local sites consist of....if you have specific types of activities that you want to pursue, the posters in this forum can help you out.
