cathy pacific has had terrific deals throughout 2003...i am reading that the economy is improving so those things may disappear....register on travelocity for the itinery and they will notify you each time the airfare goes up or down $25.....its very handy....that does not usually include specials however

The 2 for 1 deals typically are for off-season which usually means "winter" but in HK, it's more like monsoon season (April to Sept). We went at the end of March a few years ago and it was hot, humid and it rained a lot. But we still had a great time! Try www.discoverhongkong.com for special deals. They have a good selection and sometimes the tour operators will be flexible on the dates.

Those were for July/August travel. They get over 14 inches of rain per month then (compared with 2.9 in March). And prices were very low post-SARS.
You might not see prices that low again, it was a real travel bargain. But a good deal, really? Not for me, if it's likely that it will be cloudy and rainy and humid as I navigate the buses and ferry and tram to Victoria Peak to see, what?, the clouds up closer.
