i have my boarding pass...i use it as a book mark.....
i am sure i gave my mileage plus number but i think i had 2 accounts...and that is where the problem is...
i dont work tomorrow and will find my email correspondence and start over.
thanks all for the help....i really like flying united...its the most convenient airline from hawaii.

Looks like missing mileage credit can be obtained online by entering your ticket number, MP#, etc. That is in normal cases, which yours is not, divediva. But it should be easy enough to fix and you might have to send them anything. In any case, screaming at them is not a good approach.

I lost about 30,000 miles on UA due to this 3 year rule. I called and emailed their customer service to see if they could retore them. The reply I got was they won't restore them under ANY circumstances. They don't seem to mind losing customers this way. I've stopped flying UA ever since.
