Flight prices within China
We are finalizing our flights for travel from Hong Kong to Guilin to Beijing to Xian and back to Hong Kong today! We leave this Thursday!!! Everything I read suggests that we wait until we are in country to book our flights between towns, however we are on a very tight time schedule and need specific flight times. Two of us are traveling and most of the flights we are considering are on China Southern and Air China International. Do these airlines offer discounts? Is Zuji the best site to book on line? Any information is most appreciated.

I'm not sure what you have been reading. You can get both good prices and the assurance of a reservation on your desired flights by booking online.
I have used elong (www.elong.net) with success.
I hope that everything that you've read also suggested using Shenzhen airport as a possible means to get between Hong Kong and Guilin/Xian. Those flights are almost certainly much less expensive than flights from HKG, and they may well offer more flight times.

Thank you for your info! I have looked at elong, zuji, and wacts.com. It looks like most of them will only issue a paper ticket for in country travel. Is this true? If that is the case, we are short on time to get it delivered here in the US and will have to pick them up in Hong Kong. How long of a trip is the Shenzhen airport from Kowloon during 5-6PM traffic time? We can't leave HK before the end of day on Friday. Thanks for anymore info you can provide.

If you're leaving this Thursday, then I suggest you wait until you are in Hong Kong to get those flights booked via a travel agent in HK.
It's minimum 90 minutes from central Hong Kong to the Shenzhen airport. And you need at least an hour to check-in. If your time is that tight, you might as well fly direct from HKG.
