I actually liked KL, so don't have a problem with you leaving it in. However, the temples at Angkor are incredible, and getting more over-touristed by the day, so if you're ever going there, the sooner the better. I agree with Kathie that Chiang Mai is disappointing, If you want to keep CM you could drop Singapore instead - I call it Disneyland Asia.

We are all different. I find KL boring, but always enjoy Singapore. I wouldn't bother with CM, but would spend a week at Angkor. We enjoyed a day in Macau, seeing the historic "old town" areas and visiting temples.

You can't see it all, choose what interests you most. If you are like the rest of us you'll be back again and again.

Alright, I really don't think I will miss Chiang Mai so it's out. Here's what I've come up with:

Hong Kong (5 nights or 4 nights in HK and 1 night in Macau)
Singapore (3 nights)
Kuala Lumpur (3 nights) - might reduce it to 2 nights, it's mainly a way to get from Singapore to Siem Reap cheaply on Air Asia
Siem Reap (3 nights) - might make it 4 nights but since I arrive at 8 am on the first day, I really think 3 full days will be more than enough for me. I think that's what Patrick here did.
Bangkok (5 nights)
Phuket (3 nights)
Koh Phi Phi (4 nights)
Hong Kong (1 night) - staying at a hotel near the airport

Another question: What would be the best way to get from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur? Bus, train, fly?

You can get from Singapore to Siem Reap cheaply on Jetstar. Not every day, and very early morning departure, but cheap and actually pretty good. If your reason for going to KL is to use Air Asia to Siem Reap, then why not skip it and spend the time somewhere you are more interested in.

I think I'm going to drop Phuket/Phi Phi. Instead, I'll fly from Bangkok to Krabi and stay for 7 nights at Ao Nang Beach. From what I've seen so far, it's cheaper and the scenery is out of this world. There are also many day trips I can take from there.
