Family Holiday In Thailand
Hi Everyone in this forum
I read a lot of interesting holidaying stuff in Thailand. But I didnot see any discussion on bringing family for holiday in Thailand.
However, for those have some experience in bringing their family to Thailand and want to share their holidaying experience, please let me know what are the things to do & see for my family members.I have planned 10 days with my wife and 2 kids age 4 & 7 with my sister-in-law.
I plan 6 days in Bangkok & 2-day in Pattaya and 1 day in Attayahaya trip.
Any good suggestions for Bangkok sight seeing for kids.
I heard there are asmusement parks like Dream World, Siam Water Park, AventureLand, Safari Worlds, etc. Anyone want to share their experience please do so. Thanks for the responses.
Sanuk & cheer

For the amusement parks I would suggest Safari World. Lots of animals and other amusement rides and should entertain your kids.
Dream World can get very hot unless you're here in December. Siam Park is also fun but the main attraction is an artificial sea and you'll be going to Pattaya for the real thing.
Pattaya, there are many, many attractions for your kids. Miniature world, Ripley's etc. You can even charter a boat and go for a picnic and a swim to one of the outer island(if you do this don't go to the nearest island Koh Larn very touristy). Koh Phai or the more exotic Koh Lin will be nice.

Around Jomtien you have Underwaterworld which you should enjoy, Mini Siam Pattaya is worth a visit, there is also Go-Karting at a large track in Jomtien, also Ripley's "Belive it or Not" in Pattaya center, the Water Park at Jomtien (Pattaya Water Park) has water slide, very large kids pools and plenty of pool and 'swimways', you can also parasail from the top of attaya Tower ( not for the faint-hearted) it does get packed at weekends with everyone down from Bangkok, as said, boat trips and trips to snorkel south from Jomtien. There are lots of other activities in the area to choose from. Hua Hin is very very quiet and although pushed as a family resort area there is nothing at all for kids except the beach, there is though the usual Elephant Rides, you have to go about 3 hours south to Koh Talu/Bang Saphan to snorkel.

Hi, everybody
Thank you very much for the tips and suggestions for my family holiday in Thailand.
I try to please my kids and my wife during the holiday trips.
Kids love fun and my wife loves shopping & spicy food. I love sightseeing and some photography sessions.
Not easy to go too many places at one go. Next trip I may want to go to Phuket & other island.
Pattaya might be to " commercialised" for Western type of holiday.
I am from Malaysia & do have nice beaches and rainforest.
Fun things are Western tourists love rain forest, wild animals, suntanning and beaches whereas Asian tourists love shopping, gambling, food & sight seeing of nice scenery or big cities.
Regards & cheer

Well Lawrence you will know something of the Thai Resorts and you will know that what some do not like of Pattaya it is still highly/most popular with regional visitors, it's cheap, masses of restaurants, food halls, streets stalls, shopping malls and market style shopping, and famous seafood restaurants plus the Dinner Cruises with Shows in Pattaya Bay, the large Cabaret Shows etc so I am sure you will enjoy. Nong Nual in both Pattaya and also Jomtien famous for seafood, packed at weekends. A lot of people from Malaysia and SIN stay at the Ambassador City at Jomtien, I think it must be used by many of the tour groups as very large, big pools, lots of restaurants, sports facilities tec, ideal for families
But don't expect any Casinos!!
