Eye Glasses & Frames in Bangkok
I forgot the name/address of the section of Bangkok where there are over a dozen eyeglass frame/lens shops in BK. I bought 3 pair of genuine Cartier and B&G frames for 1/3 US price 2 years ago. The name of the shop was something like Charon (they have several shops in BK) but I want the one in the eyeglass district. Does anyone know the correct spelling?? A friend leaves Thursday for BK.
Also, for a night market experience and buy decent quality knock-off watches would you recommend the seedy Patpong or Suan Lum market??

The chain is Top Charoen Optical- the area is around Phetburi Road - runs parallel to Rama I road that becomes Ploenchit road - Phetburi is the one with Pantip Plaza (computers) and Pratunam Markets. Glasses - main shop area is between Pantip to the west towards Phaya Thai road (MKB and Asia Hotel and the skytrain route)
There is (or at least was) a Top Charoen in the Pratunam Centre opposite Pratunam markets on the corner and there are very many more around town.
Watches - Knockoffs - Patpong but bargain very hard - also many many of the small tailor shops also have a lot of knockoffs out the back!
