Eva Air - Any good?
Currently planning our 10th wedding anniversary hols next year & have just checked out the Eva Air's Economy and Premium Economy fares London to Bangkok which seem very competitive. Has anyone any experiencec of flying Eva? Are they any good? Is it worth paying the extra for Premium Economy?
Any info would be appreciated.

We have flown them on several occasions in the Evergreen Deluxe Class (premium economy). It was worth the extra cost which at that time was about $200+ more than regular coach. Is it worth paying $500+ more- no I don't think so.
Bigger seats, more legroom, better service.

I love EVA, I have flown the Deluxe Economy and the Regular Coach, both are very good. The service is excellent, and the flights are comfortable. and for airplane food, its actually pretty good. I usually order the Non-Vegitarian Hindu meal which is really tasty.
Plus u gotta love their paint scheme and besides that they are the Hello Kitty Airline, which makes them even more fun. I found them to be the least expensive out of LAX.
The new 777 300ER that they fly on the BKK-TPE route, and the just started LAX-TPE route is amazing. I flew the Deluxe economy on the BKK-TPE route, and the space was unbeleivable. The seats were very big, and very comfortable. We actually had regular coach economy tickets, but they upgraded us for free to the deluxe economy becuase they were overbooked.

We really like the Premium Economy too. Well worth the extra. We have generally paid about $240-260 more. We always book very early. A week from TODAY!! we will have our first trip on their new planes.
Also new this year (or maybe it is just the day of the week we are flying) we are also upgraded on the TPE to BKK leg. I really like the soft pillows and quilt like blankets. The other great thing for us is they add the DEN to LAX leg,
not only all in one ticket - but for around $150-175 more. No way can we buy a seperate ticket for that.

I am also a fan of the premium economy. We flew them earlier this year and it was so nice to have the extra room! The food wasn't so hot though but I never expect gourmet from an airline unless I fly first class.
Unfortunately, I am using frequent flyer miles and flying on Korean Air from Portland, OR to Bangkok this Sunday.
I will report about that airline as I know nothing about it.
Cheers!

My husband has taken the Premium Economy on EVA air transpacific to the US. He said that the seats were wider and the leg room was roomier. He liked EVA Air and would fly with them again and would pay the difference for the Premium economy.

On my last trip to BKK, I bought the pink wallet about half way down the page and the apron at the bottom. The Shoulder bag at the top is new, that might be my next purchase

I enjoyed Evergreen Deluxe class from Vienna to Ho Chi Minh City via Taipei, but I absolutely hated the flight attendants' smiles. They were the fakest most forced smiles that I have ever seen. It was like being trapped at the Miss America pageant.
