EVA AIR Evergreen Deluxe class
Hi Folks,
Has anyone tried Eva Air's Evergreen Deluxe class. Their website claims a seat pitch of 38" and width of 18.5". Is it really worth it? I also hear that the seat pitch is similar to a domestic business class seat on a US carrier, i.e. United. Does anyone have any pictures aside from what is posted on Eva's website.
Thanks in advance for you assistance.

We have flown EVA Air Deluxe on 2 occasions- once to Bangkok and once to Manila (from LAX).
I am 6'2" and can tell you that it was well worth the extra $200 we paid to upgrade. First of all the seating is 2 x 4 x 2- and on the 747's at the front it is 2x2. The seats are wider and there is more legroom- I can cross my legs and stretch out and actually sleep!
Food service is a bit better than economy. Overall it was very good and we got Continental miles as well (we live in Houston).
if the cost to upgrade is greater than say $300- then I think the value prop. is questionable- at least for us.

My husband (6'3 1/2)and I (very short) flew Eva air Ever green Deluxe to BKK and were very happy about it. The service was a lot better than UA economy. The food was very good. My husband loved the rice poridge. However, my problem was my butt. It hurt after sitting in that seat for a long time. We think it's because the cushion didn't have any life left in it. I still plan to fly with them again but I will have my own cushion with me (still trying to figure out what kind)
