Call the Ritz Carlton and ask them to try to find Mr. Pau. He doesn't work for the Ritz. However, he waits outside of the Ritz. A poster named Stan asked this question last year and I told him about Mr. Pau. He said he contacted the Ritz and Mr. Pau was found, but he didn't get Mr. Pau's phone number and his home number that he gave me when he was my driver changed and now I hear he's bought a new car. I have a photo of him standing next to his old car with the license plate showing. That's how I remembered his car when I was there. I could spot it on the street. Good luck. Mr. Pau charged me about $7. an hour in 2001. I think that was 38RM back then. Happy Travels!

Oh, I forgot to add. Mr. Pau is a Chinese driver. He was the only Chinese driver when I was there who waited in front of the Ritz Carlton. I negotiated a price with him and had him drive me for about three days I think it was. He was great. Happy Travels!

I tried to get the concierge at the Ritz carlton to locate Mr. Pau. He was unsuccessful or wanted us to use a service authorized and "qualified" by the hotel, I am not sure.It would cost me about $300/day for trip to lower part of Cameron highlands (7 hours roundtrip). A day to areas 30-50 miles from the Ritz was going to be $250 for 8 hours and about $50 for a 4 hour city tour.
We took a pass and found a car service broker with english speaking trained guides but it still was $200 to Cameron Highlands with petrol.
If you really want to spend that much let me know and I will dig for the name and email [email protected]
