Kuala Lumpur How many days?

We would like to visit Kl from Singapore. How many days should we spend in KL? We would like to see the main sights and maybe we will make a day trip to Selangor Pewter. Is it worth visiting Selangor Pewter? Are there any other must sees? We have never been to Malaysia any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

We spent a week in KL. If you like the big city and shopping you can do 5 days without running out of things to do/see.
Others might disagree. I would say a minimum of 3 days. Good shopping and some interesting architecture. great food- and inexpensive to boot.

3 or 4 days would be enough in my opinion. KL is architectually fasinating, but boring in comparison to Singapore.Get a private driver. If you want the one I used, then let me know and I'll post his name. Happy Travels!

Hi...My driver's name was Mr. Pau and he was great. Totally on time and efficient. His phone number is 016.383.3137 and his address is A8-2-8 Jalan Mewah 4 Pandan Mewah 6800 Ampang. He hangs out in front of the Ritz Carlton which is where I stayed. He was the only Chinese-Malay driver there so he was easy to spot.I would try calling him from wherever you live first to make sure he hasn't changed his number...and if he has then maybe drop him a note. I had him in April 2002 and he charged 35RM per hour...Then it was 3.77RM to one U.S. dollar. If you use him, please post and let me know how he is. Happy Travels!

three days should be fine - if you have five days to kill, you should head to malaka or penang for the remaining two. you will love KL coming from singapore....it has a lot more grit and life running throughout the city....
