drag shows in BKK

...which is the most fan, outrageous and an extrvaganza for a first timer? are they at supper clubs? does one go for dinner or not? orgy7, no reason to dissuade me, I'm sure we will enjoy it....besides I grew up in Miami Beach and saw the June Taylor dancers umpteen times (and you are probably too young to know who they are.)as well the shows at the big hotels... thanks

We saw the Calypso Cabaret in Asia Hotel - came highly recommended. We thought it was done very nicely. Cannot comment if it was the most outrageous but it was very tasteful. If you reserve through the Hotel Travel Desk, the price includes RT transporation from your hotel.

I've stayed at the Asia Hotel several times and, although I have never seen them, the main "lady boy" show seems to be there and gets good reports.Have an outrageous time!

Janak, if you are in Chiang Mai do go to "Simon Cabaret Chiang Mai", same owners/type of show as "Simon Cabaret Phuket". These are more stage shows and quite spectacular.

Calypso BKK is more 'club style', not sure of prices but I guess should be in the B 800 area. I wouldn't bother about the meal though.

Sorry Janak I don't know the cost but the Asia is a moderately priced hotel and I suspect the show would not be too expensive. Cheers!
