domestic thai air travel
I need fly between Bangkok, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai and back to Bangkok. I'd appreciate ideas on best (most reliable)/cheapest airlines. Are there specials? i thought i saw there was an 'airpass' on one of the airlines- how does this work?

Bangkok Air is almost your only direct option to Samui. Thai has only a couple of flights a day. The discovery pass may work for your routing. I think you still have to call the airline to book this. You won't see it on their web site.
There are no direct flights from Samui to Chiang Mai. You have to stop in Bangkok, so you might want to compare prices on using a low cost carrier like Air Asia for the Bangkok - Chiang Mai flight.

Thai Airways, the national carrier, is offering special domestic fares right now. If you qualify or travel within the promotional period it will be best airline IMO.
