Hi. I am curiour also. We just made reservation at the hotel there for Sept. I have read that it is not doing so well financially, so they have some deals going on. If you stay at the hotel they give you a buy one day ticket get the next day free deal.
The hotel prices were actually a little cheaper than I expected. The Hollywood Hotel is around $150 for garden view, $175 for Sea View and $215 for Park View.

My husband and I visited HK Disney soon after it opened. We took the train from HK and spent the whole day there. It is much smaller than other parks but we found enough to do right up to the closing fireworks. The Lion King show is wonderful and people watching was enjoyable. Just don't expect Florida Disney-world. The trip out from Hong Kong is very easy and didn't take very long. Depending on your plans it might be more cost effective for you not to stay at the park. One thing that was very different than other Disney parks was that there were stampedes to enter venues that did not have "cattle chutes". Visitors didn't seem to understand standing in line and filling seats row by row. But, since the announcements were in Chinese, I don't know if they were instructing people to line up as they do in the U.S. Anyway, we had a fun day and I'm glad we went.
