Dinner for a million Baht

Sirocco is hosting several international chefs to create a set dinner that is 1 million Baht per person. Drinks are included, of course. It takes place on February 10 (sorry I won't be able to make it, I'll be in the USA.)

I'm looking forward to reports from those Fodorites who do attend. If you think about it, bring home a doggy bag for me (my dogs love really good grub.)

I hope this is a charity event as $30,000 per person sounds a bit steep - glad to hear drinks are included. Unfortunately I won't be in Bangkok until a week later. Given the price I am not expecting a long thread on this one but I would also appreciate a doggy bag from anyone that attends...

One word, and one word only - OBSCENE.
Don't you think that $30,000 could be better spent?

And democratic fundraisers don't quality as "better spent".

There is a slight chance that I will be in BKK on a very short buying trip at the time of this dinner. I'll be sure to bring home a doggie bag for "the girls" Brad. (NOT)
