The best and safest insect repellent especially for kids is lavender oil. Add a few drops in your daily lotion with sunscreen you kill 2 birds with one stone.

This may sound strange, but we have found that rubbing your arms and neck with a piece of fabric-softener tissue works well as a mosquito-repellant.

The cdc recommends 20-30% deet. For anyone wanting to "go natural" for insect repellant (especially for small children and pregnant women), locals here in Malaysia say tea tree oil works.

So a few drops of lavender oil or tea tree oil in suncream or body cream would be okay? Wow thats fantastic... if thats the case maybe lavender insense would deter them as well?
