Sydney is one of my favorite cities! I hope you have time to take the stately old ferry to Manly for a look around and eat fish 'n' chips along the beach. That's one of my standard must d'Italia in 8 trips to Sydney.

Still a little chilly for the beach here Carol, although we may go to Manly just for the ferry ride. The caves are a bit out of the way, unfortunately. We have just 2 nights in Katoomba and have stops on the way there and a plane to catch on our return.

Have fun, Craig! We loved Sydney and the Blue Mountains!
I am very jealous of the GTG in Bali!!! We just couldn't make it this year. Have a great time there too - we know we are missing out on a memorable time. Hello to rhkkmk and kmkrnn and the hawaiiantravelers!

I get to wish the Hawaiian Travelers a bon voyage tonight at dinner in Honolulu. Ken and Jackie will also be there. Lucy should be in either Bangkok or Cambodia right now.
Craig, the ride on the stately old ferry is worth a bit of a chill. Bundle up. There is also a jetcat if you want to make it a faster trip.

Good Aussie morning to you, Craig and Jeane. Sounds like a fine holiday.
Suspect you have your Sydney activities planned; if not already on schedule, will give the highest praise to the Sydney Harbour BridgeClimb. Mind you, it's been ~ 14 years since the ascent, but what a glorious time; rather spectacular views. For dining, will give the ongoing promotion of The Dining Room restaurant at my primary Sydney business travel hotel, the Park Hyatt.
Good travels to you; signing off from SFO (and soon to do a trans-pac flight of my own),

Peter and Linda and Ken and Jackie all say hi. We had a lovely dinner together last night in Waikiki. We were talking about you two, plus a lot of other fodorites...all heading to Asia!
Enjoy the bridge climb! It should be awesome as the lights of the city are coming on.

Our ears are ringing, Carol. The Bridge Climb views were great, very professionally run, wonderful, knowledgable guide. But it could have been accomplished in less time - too many stops, too much waiting to move forward.

Craig, I don't recall making so many stops. Maybe over the course of 10 years they have changed their arrangements. But the views are really awesome.
(I'm back on the mainland again. No longer on Waikiki. Back in Illinois....)
