cooking classes in Chiang Mai + day tour information
Can I please have a recommendation for a cooking class, prefer half day only with a market tour included.
Also any recommendations for a day tour and with what company for the 25th December which would include rafting, elephant riding and a lunch. Would we need to book either of these up very far in advance or is a day or two okay.

At the Chiang Mai Cookery School, you have the choice between the restaurant or at their home, set in the countryside just outside of Chiang Mai..Highly recommended...You cook the food and then get to eat it..When I go back to Chiang Mai again, I will definately take another course..I was there 3 years ago, and I still cook the recipes!!

Also check out www.alotofthai.com. Yui is great and very flexible and accommodating. Although she has specific menu items listed for different days, if you are the only person signed up, I'm sure you could make arrangements to tailor the class to your desire.

we also used Yui at A Lot of Thai....
we highly recommend herl. Her school is in
chiang mai....they pick u up in a classic green 4dr sedan, take you to their home where they have 4 cooking stations. we were able to choose our menu prior to the class and she accomodated my vegetarian daughters requests.
we also visited a local market...a cultural event in itself.
Yui worked for Chiang Mai cookery school
but wanted to do more personalized and smaller classes.
If you use her...please see if she =has gotten her t-shirts in...i am still waiting for my
prepaid tshirt.
