china to tokyo flights
I was thinking of going to Japan after a trip to China.I checked the flights from Shanghai and from Beijing and they are 500-600 and on the china airlines... WOW expensive..
We.have a week or so after Beijing and were planning to go to Guilin and Thailand but seeing as it will be April,I think it will be too hot and not enough time to do it.It would be great weather in Japan but how can I get there on the cheap???

It depends on where you are coming from or going to. Try pricing it on the web with a multi city route thru Tokyo even if you are coming from Australia or NZ. Also, if you are departing from the USA to China, almost all Northwest flights from Seattle, Hawaii, or Portland have a layover of a few hours in Tokyo, so extending a few days would be minimal expense. If coming from the US east coast, routing through SeattlePortland might get you there real cheaply. Also, the transit lounge at Tokyo has very quiet, big reclining seats downstairs for free which you can easily sleep in.
This of course may not work if you are coming up from the south Thailand etc or in from Europe.
Some of us can't avoid going to Tokyo!
