Chiang Mai Airport Transportation?
We will be flying into Chiang Mai from BKK via Thai Airways. Staying at Yaang Come Village. The hotel is offering airport pick up/drop off for 150 baht per person. Is this a good price or are we better off getting a taxi?

It will be cheaper to get a taxi but easier to have the YCV staff meet you at baggage collection. Depends on you really. 300 baht for 2 people isn't a bad price for convenience imo, but others prefer to spend t hat money other ways.

Airport taxis from the counter in Baggage claim are 120 Baht flat rate to all city destinations. I always use it as it's so convenient and relatively cheap (used to be only 50 Baht not so long ago). The cars are comfortable and usually relatively new, and the drivers know all the hotels. Just tell the counter lady where you're going and you'll be there in 15 minutes.

Usually I have to walk a little to get to the main street where baht buses go by. Ride price will probably be around 40 to 60 baht.
I use the baht baht bus when I am in Chiang Mai. I am used to walking with one big bag hanging off each shoulder.
First time - save the walk - sign up at the airport for a ride. A price of 120 baht is under $4 U.S.
I stay in "less expensive" places that are under $20 so using a baht bus is my style.

I see that YCV has lowered their airport rate a bit. It's still double the price of a comfortable taxi. The taxis are quick and easy for 120 baht per car, flat rate. Since you are staying at YCV, I expect you have no interest in the "baht bus" or songthew - the back of a covered pick-up truck.

We're going to be arriving by train (probably in the evening). Will there be taxis at the train station to take us to our hotel or should we arrange to be picked up by the hotel (probably staying at the Riverview, but I haven't confirmed it yet)?
