eurotraveller, just want to be sure you realize that the photos on the website do not show a studio. They show the bedroom of a 1BR. The studio is more like a large hotel room, with an added kitchen. We found the bathrooms to be much the same regardless of the apartment size.

I did not tour any of the studios. I booked on asiarooms and they did not offer any studios. I did book the one bedroom 80 sq meters riverview. They also have a bigger and more expensive one bedroom that is 100 meters. The average hotel room is about 40-45 sq meters, so the studios are probably more like hotel rooms with a kitchen (?) taking up some of the room.
Getting to Sukhumvit is easy by the close by skytrain. I would say about 20 minutes to get there and wonderful people watching opportunities.

Thai washing machines are a mystery! We always stay at the Emporium Suites and the larger suites have a washing machine. We still have to send things out because it takes so long for anything to dry. If you find a laundry on the street it's cheaper than going through your hotel. Good luck!

Thanks to all who responded to this query for Chateau de Bangkok. And thanks to Guenmai for the detailed info regarding other Serviced AparTments. I'm checking your recommendation of the Somerset Suwan Park View...it seems like a very good option. Did you stay at a Suite or just visit the place? The Emporium Suites are full for the dates requested. Thanks again to all.

I didn't actually stay at the Somerset Suwan Park View, but I went by there and got an extensive showing of the place.I was there for quite some time. I was taken to different apartments and shown the facilities. The thing that I basically didn't like was the furniture which I thought a bit drab...but maybe that's just me. My aesthetic eye is just more suited to the interior design of the Emporium Suites and since I'll be vacationing in BK, for three weeks,it's very important that my residence be very eye pleasing. But, I absolutely loved everything else about the Somerset Suwan Park View and loved the quiet street it's on. Plus, they have an aerobics class in the small room that sort of looks like a dance studio. I was shown the schedule of classes. The price that I'd negotiated was also very good at about $1000-$1200 less, for the three-week period, than the price of the Emporium Suites. Happy Travels!
