>>I'm completely happy when I'm traveling and a great deal less happy when I'm not. I wonder if there's a message in there?<<
I'm a member of that same club, Los Angeles chapter. The message is, escape now! Are we running from something? Naw. Just curious and fun-loving. And we like that feeling of being set down in a strange place and the way it makes us feel disoriented and vulnerable and on our toes. And part of the human race.
Nothing wrong with extended adolescence. I'm a wee bit older but still act like an 18-year-old most of the time. Until I see myself in a photo and say "Hey, who's that old lady?"

Dogster- Funny timing.. I don't underestimate "coincidences".
I'm happy you're seeing improvements. Don't feel too bad about exercise. You may very well end up being a convert (like myself) and seeing the light in it. It may be your new drug
I too am solidly guilty of overextending my adolescence. At 50, I still think largely as someone in my early 20's- My antisocial postings of the past reflect this, lol!!
Btw, isn't 60 the new 50(soon to be 45)? Keep telling yourself this!
See you ..

"I'm completely happy when I'm traveling and a great deal less happy when I'm not. I wonder if there's a message in there?" - I'm pretty happy both places so far (lucky me!!!), but I feel more alive on the road. I do realize I need to figure out what to do when I grow up and get too decrepit to travel, but I haven't made much progress at that.

Dogster you took the words out of my mouth, I'm completely happy when I'm traveling and a great deal less happy when I'm not.
Am older than you but keep forgetting that I am not 30 anymore, which is fine with me. Not quite mutton dressed up as lamb, but definitive displacement of age appropriate activities. If there even is such a thing???
