not sure what card you are referring to??? registration card??
they have a huge international department and also a very good web site....have you looked there??
i have sent them e mails and they answer in a couple of days...
when the discussion came up about registration i believe the bottom line was that it was not necessary in advance....

You can go to the hospital and register and get a card. Then, should you become ill or get injured, they will hopefully see your registration and take you to Bamrungrad. You do it in person. If you read guenmai's post, she went there and got her card this past couple of days. She also tried the Italian restaurant there, and said it was EXCELLENT (like I had reported back in February).

Hi,
When you arrive at the hospital for treatment you first need to register at the international patients desk (3rd floor I think) They then fill out your details and issue you with a little card with your number etc. This you keep for future use - we just show up with ours when we go to the dentist - after having made appointments of course.
As Carol says - keep the card on you and should the worst happen you will hopefully be taken to that hospital - they then at least have your information and everything can speed up.
By the way, we find the dentist very good.

Pelican I am thinking about the same procedure. How long did you have to stay in Thailand for post op care etc.? Was the procedure expensive? How did you go about finding a good doctor? I have heard many good things about this hospital. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm back home.I just got mine last week. You just go to the section that says,"New Patient" and explain that you want a medical card. Then you have to fill out a form and show your passport which they will make a copy of.Then they'll make it up and issue it to you. Happy Travels!
