Personally, I vastly prefer used people to "new" people. Take Bob for instance (please), could you be more used than he? The only advantage to new people is the warranty. Bob's has long ago expired.

Bob's forte is not spelling
Upon this we're not dwelling.
But language is a Fine Art
His diction does scar my heart*.
Hope he has no second tongue
Then he'd hurt both heart and lung.
*I know, an oxymoronic "lawyer with a heart."

In addition to the aforementioned workshops and seminars, how about a poetry reading by the infamous Gpanda himself.
So we have some "new" people and perhaps some "used" people - in the parlance of the auto biz, will there be any pre-owned people?

Taking a break from the Bob-a thon, the Out-of Towners should be aware of a really fun Thai reataurant in nearby Brookline. It's named Dok Bua and is at 411 Harvard St., Brokkline, MA. I've eaten there many times with Bob and Karen. To it's ever-lasting shame, it is the place that began Bob's addiction to Mango with Sticky rice. It even has a menu with pictures just like in Thailand.

I'm absolutely crazed about sticky rice and mango and whenever in Southeast Asia or even at home set out to find the best in town! In Singapore it's the Indochine restaurant on Club Street in east China Town. At home, there are a lot of Thai restaurants so it's easy to find. I just don't like it overly sweet and I've found some that's not. Do you get mangos in October in MA? You have to remember I'm from southern California so I'm used to fruit all year. HAppy Travels!

Guenmai-rest assured that there is no local Mango crop here in New England. At all times, they are brought in from more tropical places. Another selling point for Dok Bua is that they have the best Tofu dish I have ever tasted. It's not even close. I am not a vegetarian, but this dish is so good, I almost always order it.

Yummmmm! You're making me hungry for Thai food. We have no Thai restaurants in our smallish town, but can drive for about 45 mintues to one that isn't toooo bad. It's owned by a Thai family that son knows.

I can't wait to try the abovementioned Thai restaurant. The tofu dish sounds yummy. By the way, what kind of food will be served at the Boston get together? I'm a vegetarian who will eat fish/eggs if I have to, but won't bend the rules to include any other non-vegetarian foods. I haven't eaten the other stuff since the mid 70s so I'd get sick anyway if I tried. Happy Travels!

Guenmai-The GTG is in Cambridge. vegetarians are plentiful. I'm sure there will be a decent choice.
As usual, Bob's geography is misleading. Half of Brookline is actually slotted into Boston. The MIT place is about 1/2 mile from the River dividing Cambridge from Boston. He did correctly estimate driving time, 15 minutes, but this is city driving and the distance is not far.
