yeah...bob is a Needhamite, as opposed to a vegemite. Andy is a Cambridgeroo, so neither are technically Bostonians. I think Boston likes it that way!!
so guys... What time for the brunch? And if I cheap out and don't take a taxi, what stop on the T?
We leave tomorrow!!!

Vegemite sandwiches -- yes!! (For everyone else.)
Lucy, closest T stop is Central on the Red Line. When you exit from the station, walk down Mass Ave (toward MIT and away from Harvard -- ask a cabbie or cop) about 1/4 mile to Sidney St. Turn right on Sidney St and the Hotel@MIT is a block ahead on the left.
Weather forecast is excellent for Saturday and Sunday, not so good for Thursday and Friday am.

Lucy, or anyone else. The weather may not be very good. If you take the T, I can pick you up. We can arrange a time. If you want contact me at [email protected].
BTW, Bob is a Needhamite, but I am a Cantabridgean. We are much farther over on the evolutionary chart.

Today is our penulitimate day in England before leaving for a year in Sierra Leone so Carolyn & I just wanted wish you all the best for a successful GTG. I am sure you will have a great time. Gpanda accepted my arguments for a penalty waiver as we are flying on the very day of the GTG, (subject to one or two conditions!)
PS
If you have some spare time be sure to ask Bob for his special open top night tour of Boston in Karen's car - it beats the duck tours hands down!

Clive-Beth and I wish you both a wonderful year. It was great to meet you guys and have a chance to talk in real time with a Fodors stalwart.
I do note that it was cruel to use "penultimate" in a post that Bob was likely to read.

Thanks for your good wishes. I will certainly post on the Asia AND Africa boards and, subject to web access, will maitain a close interest in all your postings.
Of course you are all welcome to a GTG in our tent. I can't promise the same quality of food as the Similian though!
Have a couple of Singa's for Carolyn and me!

rhkkmk and the rest of the Fodorites: Olive and I may be quiet but we want you all to know that we envy you while you are enjoying the Boston GTG. We just came back from SFO so it's hard to take time off so soon. We will not be with you this time but will be in spirit and hope that we will be able to make it next time whether in Boston or BKK. Our best wishes -- BillT and Olive
