Don't worry, pandas are spring-loaded. They can soar. Plus, Boston has a long tradition of managing bars. We'll just put up a shamrock and close off the light.

You're letting people from NY attend again?

Hopefully, the Yankees will have been eliminated by then, so we can be generous to our Empire State Brethren and Sistern.

Hi Bob, I recently remembered about the October Boston GTG. I'd love to attend... but as a NYer, do I tip the scales too much? Does it count if (a) I'm Massachusetts born and raised, and (b) dislike the Mets because of '86 almost as much as the Yankees make my skin crawl?

Forget Bob, you're in. Bob's sports knowledge ranks below his compassion level.

New Yorkers that do not root for the Yankees or the Mets will be allowed, but reluctantly. Having been raised in a NJ suburb, I anticipate sneaking away from the evening activities to see how the Yanks are doing in the playoffs. As of this writing the Yanks are in a virtual tie for the wild card and as all Red Sox and Yankee fans know, a lot can happen before the season ends about 2 months from now.

The past is no guide to future occurrences. We do not believe in inductive reasoning.

Gosh, does that mean I'll miss the GTG because I'll be too busy watching my Chicago Cubs win their bid this year??
