The AARP rate for Summerfield Suites (Burlington) is now $125 + taxes. You have to click on "Seniors" on the website for the AARP rate to display. It is a very good rate for a very nice, new hotel and breakfast is included. There are 4 computers in the business center so you can go on Fodors while you are there .
The AARP rate at the Hampton Inn, Cambridge is $349 + taxes. It is within walking distance of the Similan. It is a decent hotel but not worth it at that price unless being close by is really important to you.

Craig:
For those of us who haven't had the pleasure of living in Massachusetts for many years . . . is the Summerfield Suites (Burlington), in Burlington, Vermont or - a bit closer to Boston?
Thanks.

I, too, stayed at the Summerfield. It was a very nice hotel. I think the $125 rate is still very reasonable for the product. It is, after all, a Hyatt property, and the suite is complete with kitchen (even a dishwasher). It was a very nice choice! I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. It is right next to the main highway into Boston. Plus, shopping is very close by. A great location, in my opinion.

There are a few B&B's in Cambridge for about $150 per night. They are not within walking distance of either location, but they are near the subway and more scenic than Burlington. If anyone is interested, they can E-mail me at [email protected] .
Plus la change, plus la meme chose.

They speak French in Scotland? I dug that expression from a forty year memory. The fact that I got any of the words correct is a miracle. Rob, we hope that you will be able to further correct me at the GTG.

Does everyone see what I'm dealing with? Why Beth, Karen and I are having dinner with the POB on Saturday is a mystery.
Bob, in case you missed it, while you were away, you've been labeld the Prince of Barkness (POB for short).
