Boracay trip - which hotel is better?

I am going to Boracay in April and would like your opinion on which is a better place to stay - Waling Waling Hotel or Fridays?
I prefer a hotel which is right on the beach with great service, good food, clean & not too crazy/loud/crowded ambience! It's my husband's first trip to the Philippines and he's used to the best. How far is Fridays from Pearl of the Pacific Hotel? Thanks.

If your husband likes "the best", you should be looking at Amanpulo. It's not on Boracay, but I don't think there is anything truly luxury on Boracay.

Do a search for my trip report on this forum if you're interested in more information.

Thanks, Ericka. Yes, Amanpulo is the best but I'm just looking for the best hotel in Boracay as we are meeting family & friends there. No question, if it was just the 2 of us, we'll be going to Amanpulo. I know it doesn't compare but we'll make the best of what we've got.

I prefer Fridays. Less crowd in front of the beach and facilities are I think much better compared to other resorts. If you like to be in a more private venue, try nami villas. It not on the main beach. Location is in a cove after the main beach. Rooms are perched a the side of a mountain so you have a great view of the ocean from the room. They also have a jacuzzi in the balcony. If you are okay with not being on the beach front, another great place is Mandala spa. They recently added new accomodations in their property and the rooms are beautiful. I think they are the most beautiful rooms in the island. Added plus is that you are in a fabulous spa where you can have treatments everyday.

Purplefish, I just checked Mandala Spa's website and it is beautiful. Too bad they're not beachfront which I really prefer. I'll probably stay at Fridays and avail of Mandala's spa services separately. Thanks!
