We figured that the tea price was the way the hotel made its money- inexpensive dim sum to lure the folks in but then the tea price- very high- to cover the cost of the service- we had people falling all over us,pouring our tea, swooping in to take away our dishes, etc.

Happy Traveling-
Great photos! So, how do you compare your three hotels and which were your favorite restaurants? Are there any you wouldn't recommend.
Glad you had a good trip and, believe me, everyone is overly ambitious in their first trip to Bangkok. Until you experience it you can't quite realize how big a factor the weather is and how often you spend more time than planned someplace because of a conversation, a shop or a sight not found in any guide book.
