Bangkok The Euginia Hotel

Appreciate any reviews or comments on this hotel.Planning to stay in Bangkok for five nights mid August. Have stayed at Clove Hall, Penang before. Looks similar??

Thanks in advance. BB

Older colonial in a noisy are ok not great

AC and food and staff issues overpriced

when I stayed there albeit a few years back.

Many fake reviews on Tripadvertizer booking.com

has some recent honest ones.

Lots better 5 star values lots cheaper though not colonial

amari.com/watergate lately for me from $50 betterbidding.com

asiarooms.com agoda.com booking.com otel.com good values too.

Happy Hunting,

Does Clove Hall have all those dead animal heads hanging on the walls?

It sounds like you are looking for a small boutique place. If so, consider Chakrabongse villas
http://www.thaivillas.com

Ibrik Resort by the river is another http://www.ibrikresort.com

Bangkok is not a place with a lot of boutique hotels.

While qw, above, loves priceline, priceline never offers boutique places.

PS I absolutely agree with qw about Trip Advisor, In the months before eh Chatrium opened, it accumulated more than two dozen "reviews."

lol, that's what I thought, Bob. Personally, I find all the dead animals in The Eugenia offensive.

bbbb10: I wrote about the Hotel Eugenia.

Scroll to September 04, 2006 and it's there. Happy Travels!

BtW, the Eugenia is now managed by Lebua. Been meaning to check if they've made any changes.

I never use TripAdvisor. For hotels, I find the reviews on Agoda (where stays have been verified) much more reliable.
