Bangkok Birthday Dinner

Any suggestions for 11 people (3 families) ages 10-55. Birthday girl is 22 and guy is 55? Can't do Bed (age limit) How about Supatra River House or China House or Sala Rim Naam?

Supatra is nice setting but I found the food pretty mediocre. Sala Rim Naam includes a show -- wouldn't do it. If you want to eat ala carte you can do it outside on Sala Rim Terrace. But, personally, I would go to China House for a birthday dinner. It's my favorite restaurant in bangkok. You could go for a drink before at the Sky Bar and end the evening at Bamboo Bar for some jazz-- unless the two bars have age limits.

Just saw the fact that there is a 10-year old. Skip the bars. China House is perfect. I've often seen local families celebrating something there so the place is very child friendly. And the food is sensational. They will also make something special for the children if you want.

any of the major hotel restaurants would be perfect...moving around 11 people would be my concern...where are you staying might be a better questions and then we can suggest rest. alternatives....??

face has a private room but it is on soi 38 sukhumvit...

spice market in the 4 seasons hotel might be good...

harmonique has two private a/c rooms which they might dedicate one for your use...excellent thai food and reasonable....

To me part of the fun would be to be in a restaurant rather than a private room. Different energy and feel. A private room could be anywhere.

Bob-- do you like spice market? I've tried it a couple of times and really think it's one of the over rated restaurants around. It was better when it first opened but now I find it very mediocre.
