Aqua Tokyo/Hutong in hong kong

hi ,
have looked at this site at the menus which look interesting,and would like to book however there are no prices on the menus.Does anyone have an idea of prices per head approximately?

My recollection is that Hutong should break down into something like HK$200-300 a person without drinks for a copious amount of food of appetizer, main course and desert (served family style); however I am going there next week so I will check more thoroughly and will report back. Tokyo may be a little more expensive.

hi Cicerone,did you get to Hutong after,
have you been to Aqua Tokyo?If so which would you recomend?

I know the minimum per-person charge at Aqua Tokyo or Aqua Roma is HK$380, which they tell you when you make a reservation.

Yes, I went to Hutong last week and think that the HK$300 per person figure is a little more accurate than the HK$200, but you could probably have a good meal in the HK$250 range as well. As I said I believe that Tokyo is more expensive and the minimum charge noted above seems to confirm that (was not aware that there was one, it may be that there is a minium at Hutong too, you might want to check). I have not eaten in Tokyo in a long time, but I have gone to the bar on the same floor there sometimes after dinner at Hutong. I think you really could not go wrong at any of them, all have the good view and a lively atmosphere.

This is Hakka food, and this restaurant is one of the only places I know of in Hong Kong to have Hakka food. Served in a nice ambience in the Hollywood Road area. (No view.) Hakka means "guest family" and refers to people who are not indigenous people to Hong Kong, nor are they Cantonese, although they are in fact ethnically Han Chinese (as with everything in China, it's a complicated history). Food tends to be braised and deep fried, and chicken and pork feature in the menu. Not particularly spicy, sweet and sour is a staple. Very nice for a change from Cantonese. Excellent pork belly, stuffed tofu, drunken chicken. The website shows dishes and prices. One of my new favourites!
